Somali Family Safety Task Force uses art to welcome our participants into the community and to educate them about the importance of their contributions. As a result, the participants gain a lot of knowledge before we even realize. SFSTF used the first few minutes before class starts to voice any changes they want to see or ask questions. Students were able to be creative, and parents were able to communicate with their children; in fact, many parents were ecstatic to see their children’s artistic side. Somali Family Safety Task Force reached out to the students and inquired about what they learnt in art class and how it has influenced their life.
