After five months overlooking the NewHolly P-Patch and Chief Sealth Trail, our banners have been retired with care. The whimsical art installment was the idea of local artist George Lee. Lee partnered with students from our Saturday Women’s Sewing Group to create the giant “clothesline” strung between 15-foot tall poles displaying our women’s individually designed and sewn banners. The banners swung in the breeze from early Summer to Fall 2017 and were a joy to passersby and our neighbors. Thanks to everyone who made this project possible! Special thanks to 4Culture, Salish Construction, and Lund Opsahl.
